A USB device will work from the " D " bay port. Have a look at the user guide to see a " D " bay port, an X or M60 will have one. To see the port should make it easier to understand than words. I know Dell wouldn't sell it, but do you know a place that i could look for one? I dont think you will find one. What are trying to run and from what? Are you suggesting that i cut the top part of the connector off and use the USB portion of it? No, dont cut anything. Does your lap-top have a CD in it? It should have either a " D " bay or CD, otherwise you would not be able to do a reload. What model? I was wondering the same thing.
