The game features four chapters. Each chapter allows you to control one of the four Bratz. The game's content mostly revolves around The Bratz favorite activity…shopping. Players will saunter through the mall snagging designer jeans or rollerblading around town to grab items while taking time to catch up on the local gossip.
This game shamelessly targets its demographic with on the nose stereotypes. The game's narrative is simplistic to a fault. The developers do not even attempt to provide any depth of context. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing.
There have plenty of successful games that relied on gameplay alone. I mean a plumber trying to save his kidnapped girlfriend from a giant turtle is not exactly Shakespeare. The truly disappointing part of Bratz is that not only is it a failure as a storytelling mechanism, but it is also a failure as a game as well. The Bratz are modelled like stereotypical teenage girls with a love for fashion, music, glamour and paparazzi.
Following the firing of one of the Bratz dolls from her internship at a magazine, the four girls unite to start up their own magazine. The girls eventually form a rock band which becomes successful, and they also launch a successful fashion brand. You control all the four Bratz dolls throughout the game, but only one can be controlled at a time. Each girl has their own specialty, so the game switches you to the girl needed for a task. You start the game by repairing a rundown office space and personalizing it to make it fully yours.
Mission objectives consist of tasks like taking photos and checking out the latest fashion and makeup trends for your magazine. The open world format allows you to explore four different areas. Scattered around the game world are coins that can be used to purchase various items and unlocks. The gameplay is not exactly challenging, but they are going for a certain kind of audience here and I am not sure that audience would have wanted a Bratz game that was super hard.
However, I cannot do that. While this may not exactly be my cup of tea, I must admit that this for a licensed game is pretty decent. From what I can tell it managed to capture what makes Bratz so popular and they keep things fresh by having many different styles of gameplay. If you are a fan of Bratz then you can easily add another whole point to my score as you will probably get a lot out of this.

Although I think there is fun to be had in this portion of the game, it is nothing compared to titles like Cyberpunk This is the redeeming factor of the game. It is almost like one of those games that is just minigame, but instead of whatever lackluster theme that game might have, you can play this game as the fabulous Bratz!
I had a good time playing this game, barring the fact that I now have an insatiable desire to design clothing. Hope you have fun too! Browse games Game Portals.
